Esko invites you to their event

New approach of optimising the wide web flexopress at DFTA Technology Center

About this event

This webinar will take a closer look at the strategy and process of the DFTA to optimize their own press. Flexography offers freedom in terms of substrates, inks, plates, tapes, etc. This is the good news. The challenge is to use this flexibility in a way that all parameters interact in an optimum way to achieve a high quality and consistent print result. This requires the proper components, right print set up, expertise and experience.

Anke Frieser-Tausch will explain the motivation and background driving this project. She gives an insight into the scientific approach and the trial set up. Why it is important to consider different effects of anilox engravings on ink transfer and why the DFTA has implemented 4 GTT anilox sleeves into their inventory, plate performance and alternative technologies.

Anke will be joined by Robert Bruce from Esko. Robert will share insights into how the latest imaging & screening technologies help support the DFTA. Anke will also present the details and hard facts of the project.

We will end the webinar with an open Q&A session to handle questions on the process from the DFTA, effects of anilox engravings on ink transfer and link between surface patterning & anilox volume.

Key Take Aways

  • Optimising: a technical approach from DFTA
  • Optimising: a production based approach from Esko using Print Control Wizard
  • Expected results from a good optimisation project using MacDermid Plates, Apex GTT aniloxes, Esko Screening and XPS exposure

There will be a live Q&A at the end of the presentation.
